From the Architect: Casa Triana is a 60-sq.-meter apartment renovation in the historic neighborhood of Triana, Seville. The condominium has been made for a one lady and it offers her with as substantially living area as doable provided the limited footprint. The key notion was to make a singular open house, but not make it truly feel much too vacant or characterless. A collection of coloured niches generate distinctive programatic locations that give the apartment its one of a kind id.

“The new spaces are not outlined by physical partitions but by a frequent language of textures, components and colours: the yellow dining place, the green kitchen, the black rest room. To accommodate attendees, a blue curtain stowed in a niche in the dwelling place can be deployed to generate a privacy partition. The triangular pattern—created utilizing metallic ridge caps (or “cumbreras” in Spanish) which are usually utilised to prime gable roofs—creates an attention-grabbing rhythm of gentle, shadow, and distinction with the flatness of the white wall. Several of the shades utilised in the condominium are classic Sevillian hues that can be found on the streets. Substantially of the inspiration came from the cityscape alone.”
